AO Calumea is a cultural organization founded in 2013 that, over time, has become an important driver of Moldovan creativity and identity. Through festivals, social projects, and media initiatives, the association has built a bridge between tradition and modernity, bringing together a large community of artisans, local producers, creators, and people passionate about authentic culture. Its festivals — Ia Mania, Mai Dulce, Lavender Fest, Hodina Fest, and others — have become landmarks in the cultural calendar.

These events not only celebrate traditional clothing, gastronomy, and crafts, but also create economic opportunities for small producers. In recent years, the festivals have continued to grow, change locations, adapt, and offer new experiences to the public, showing that AO Calumea remains a living organism, in step with the times. In addition to these events, Calumea also develops projects with social and civic impact, such as public engagement campaigns and initiatives aimed at creating and improving recreational spaces.

The association also explores the media sphere through creative video projects, documentaries, and online series such as “Internetu Grăiește”, which authentically capture people’s voices and local culture.
